Biography
Emma Clarke is a policy officer at environmental non-profit organisation Wildlife and Countryside Link. She is a graduate of the University of Cambridge’s MPhil Programme on the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology. She was previously a marine biologist, including for the Canadian Government where she conducted analyses of oceanic acoustic data (leading to the first descriptions of the vocalisations of the Sowerby’s beaked whale). Emma received a dual BSc (Hons) in Biology and Contemporary Studies from University of King’s College. She is a senior analyst at GDI and is the editor of GDI Review 03: Digital Oceans: Open Data (Fall 2021).
