Biography
Sebastian Dodt is a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University in Data Science for Public Policy. His research focuses on the use of statistics and data to improve evidence-based policymaking. In particular, he is working on the use of data science and machine learning in the humanitarian sector. During his undergraduate degree, Sebastian studied International Relations with a regional focus on the Middle East at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) London and London School of Economics (LSE). His past work experience includes the United Nations, the European Union, and NGOs in digital security and peace and security. Sebastian recently spoke on future digital security issues at the 75th anniversary celebrations of the UN in London.
